My story

Hi, I’m Ryan — the owner of Weaver Dog Services.

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, we had everything from small dogs to large dogs, and seeing the difference between a well-trained dog and an untrained one stuck with me early on. A well-trained dog could be a true part of the family, while an untrained dog often missed out on experiences and freedom.

I was lucky enough to grow up around great examples too — my dad was a K9 handler for the police department, and watching him work with his trained shepherd showed me how strong the bond between a dog and their handler could be when there’s real training and trust.

Later in life, that early inspiration led me to pursue professional training. I spent over two years apprenticing under an experienced trainer, working with over 100 dogs of all different breeds and sizes. That hands-on experience built the foundation for the methods and training approach I use today.

I eventually founded Weaver Dog Services to bring my passion for balanced, personalized training directly to families who want a better relationship with their dogs.

Today, I train alongside my own dog, Ducky (you’ll probably see him around the site — and in person too!). Ducky started off reactive and skeptical, and through our training, I got to experience firsthand what patience, trust, and good communication can accomplish.
